Who we are
A small crew. Some of us grew up here, back when the light rail was a rumor and Roosevelt Row was mostly empty lots. Some of us moved here for a winter and never left, which is how Phoenix gets most of its people. Between us we've lived in bungalows near downtown, apartments off Central, a ranch house in the shadow of Camelback and a place up north where the coyotes outnumber the neighbors.
We don't put our names on it. That's on purpose. This isn't a personal brand, it's a guide, and the restaurants should be the stars, not us.
Why this exists
Search for anything stoner-related in Phoenix and you get one of two things: a dispensary ad dressed up as an article, or a list of "fun things to do" that could be about any city with a mall. Neither one knows that you don't hike Piestewa at noon in July, that the best Sonoran dogs come off a cart after dark, or that a monsoon night on the porch beats most plans.
So we wrote the guide we wanted. Munchies by craving and by part of town. Late-night food for when it's actually late. Theaters worth sitting in. Mountains, with honest talk about heat. A straight answer on where you can legally sesh. And a real take on every major neighborhood, the good stuff and the stuff that makes you want to scream at a left-turn arrow.
Editorial standards
Nobody pays to be on this site. No paid placements, no sponsored posts, no affiliate links, no "partner" spots, no free meals in exchange for a mention. We don't sell anything and we're not tied to any shop, brand or business. If a place is on here, it's because we'd send our friends there.
We only name places we've checked are real and still open. Phoenix restaurants come and go, and when one closes we pull it. We don't make up menus, prices or hours, because those change constantly and you should check them yourself. We don't list or rank dispensaries. And we never claim a business welcomes the smoke unless the business says so itself.
On the legal side, we stick to what the law actually says and keep it general. We're locals, not lawyers. When we talk about where you can sesh, read it as solid general info, not legal advice.
What we won't do
We won't tell you to drive high. Ever. The light rail, a rideshare and the friend who isn't partaking exist for a reason. We won't lecture you either. You're an adult, and the whole point of legal weed in Arizona is that you get to enjoy it like one.
We also won't pretend the suburbs are Phoenix. Scottsdale, Tempe and Mesa are fine. They're just not our beat.
Saying hi
There's no email, no comment section and no social accounts. That's not us being mysterious, it's us keeping this thing simple and focused on the city. If you love a spot we missed, the best thing you can do is go eat there and bring a friend. Start with the Phoenix munchies guide or pick a part of town from the neighborhood map.
